Lilya Matveeva is an artist and illustrator from Siberia, currently based in Berlin.

After several years of working with socio-political themes, her practice gradually shifted toward nature and close observation of the living world. Emerging from documentary stories about persecution and war, her current visual language is quieter and more intimate. Through it, she explores inner life, sensitivity, the experience of being alive, and the fragile coexistence between humans and other living beings.
